MEET DR. RALPH PORRAS
As your Monterey County Superintendent of schools, I will be dedicated to ensuring the success and well-being of every student. My experience and passion drive me to create positive change and provide the best education possible for all our children.​ My campaign is focused on innovation, inclusivity, and excellence. I aim to elevate our schools to new heights and prepare our students for a bright future. I have 36 years of experience as an educator, hold a doctoral degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in Collaborative Leadership, and have served in various leadership roles. Join me in this journey to make a difference in the lives of our students and our community.​

Dr. Ralph Porras joined Santa Cruz County Superintendent of Schools Faris Sabbah at the First Five Commission’s Parent Empowerment Summit, a gathering focused on strengthening family engagement and supporting early childhood success. Dr. Porras is committed to working alongside education leaders and families to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive from the very beginning.

Dr. Ralph Porras brought school spirit to life as Superintendent of Pacific Grove Unified School District, engaging with students, families, and the community at Friday night football games. He believes leadership means being present for our schools, cheering students on from the sidelines, fostering support in the classroom, and showing up for the people he serves.
